Here are two more versions of yesterday’s image. I can’t decide if I like the lighter one or the darker one. I’d love to hear which one you like in the comments below.

Post processed in Lightroom, played around with in Corel PaintShop Pro X6 with the Fractalius plugin

  1. I like different things about each of them. In the lighter one, I like the flower, but the stem is almost too bright. In fact now that I really study them, I think the stem might be too bright in each. I’m not sure if you can control that at all or just apply it across the entire image. I like them!

    • Shauna, since they are the same image, just post processed a little differently (and different settings in fractalius) that is why the stem is brighter on both of them. I have to look at the RAW image, but I think it was partly due to me shining the flashlight on the stem and the flower and not paying too much attention to the area in between (where they all join together). Using Lightroom I can lower the brightness of just the stem.
